When to Book Fall Porch Decorating in Northern Virginia (2026 Calendar)
Every year, without fail, the two questions we hear most often in September are:
1. "I want a porch like the ones I keep seeing. Are you still taking clients?"
2. "Wait — you're already sold out?"
If you want to be on our calendar in Fall 2026, here's the honest timing.
The Northern Virginia Fall Porch Booking Calendar
August (booking window opens): This is when NoVA porch stylists — including us — open their calendars for the season. The Posh Porch opens booking on Monday, August 10, 2026. Our waitlist gets first access.
September: By the second week of September, our most in-demand weekends are typically booked. Deliveries start rolling out from the third week of September onward.
October: Peak install season. The weekends of mid- to late-October are our busiest and are almost always the first to fill.
November: Removals begin the week after Halloween. Displays that carry through Thanksgiving come down the week before Thanksgiving.
When Your Preferred Weekend Fills
If any of these dates matter to you, book early:
The two weekends before Halloween — the ones every homeowner wants for trick-or-treat and photos. These sell out first, every year.
The week of Thanksgiving — for hosts who want the porch styled through their dinner.
Real-estate listing weekends — realtors booking model homes and open houses tend to lock dates in August.
Willowsford, Great Falls, McLean, and estate-porch installs — larger porches take more of our install day, so we take fewer of them per weekend.
Why We Sold Out in 2024 and 2025
Two reasons. First, we style porches ourselves — the same three-generation family every time — so our capacity is genuinely finite. Second, once one house on a block gets a Posh Porch install, the neighbors ask. That's how our best weeks fill.
How to Be First in Line for Fall 2026
Join the waitlist. Waitlist members get an early-access booking window on August 10 before public booking opens. That window is when the most-loved weekends actually get claimed.
